Mission
Tambor's mission is to promote the growth of the video games market in Brazil, connecting gamers, publishers, manufacturers and retailers and creating a bridge betwen Brazilian and International companies.
-
History
Tambor was founded in 2007, with the Game World Awards event, and two traditional magazine titles: Nintendo World and EGM, formerly published by Conrad Editora, where Tambor partners André Forastieri and André Martins served as Publisher and Business Director, respectively.
Since those early days, Tambor focused on the video games market. The directors have been involved with this market since 1998, when they released Nintendo World magazine.
With the growth of Brazil's consumer market, more international games companies started looking at the opportunities in our country. With time, Tambor evolved to a full-service advertisement agency, and Game World became Brazil's leading content platform for gamers, with two print magazines, a consumer event, a trade event, an awards ceremony, a leading web portal, and now a social network for gamers - Game World Network.
We are comitted to helping our market reach its full potential. That's our only mission. And games are our only business.
